FAIRWAY VILLAGE   ADOPT-A-BLOCK

After our 5th month out to this downtown location, Celebration Outreach has built relationships with residents and management!  God is up to something Big and we are impacting this community for Jesus!   Through our efforts and your support, we are able to change the Atmosphere in a positive way.   Local Fire Station #22 is even stating that the crime has decreased since last fall.  This is what it is all about!

This weekends event was Saturday Aug. 27th at 6pm – 8:30pm.  With a box full of general donations, a large jumpy castle, 300 Hot Dogs, Snow Cone machine, Face Painting, and a full on Rap concert…. Residents were treated to a Block Party like never before!  When the call is made, I cannot believe the support from or people!   All of this for the cost of the Hot Dogs!

Special Thanks to the incredible talent that came out: Mike Vargus (XL), Jesse Gomez, Dominic, and Will B … These guys are truly amazing and doing amazing work for the Lord.  We couldn’t stop singing on the way home.

Outreach at Celebration is going to a whole Nutha level and this weekends event will bless our Serve Team as much as the residents of Fairway Village!  Your support is requested to help with organized activities!

We will bring:

Inflated Jump House, Face Paint, Plenty of Cold drinks, Lots of Give aways, Organized Games, Hot Dogs, Live Music and JESUS!  XL (Mike Vargus) and Jesse Gomez are prepared to share during and after their music!  Free CDs will be available for residents of FAIRWAY

Reaching the people where they are is the focus of this Outreach.  We have a heart for this community and God always shows up.  This is our first Adopt A Block community.  Simply put… We take the Church to them in a format that is understood and appreciated.

The end of July and the month of August have been incredible at Celebration Church!  Along with the Buzz of two new campuses opening this month and a full Outreach Schedule, our Teams have been busy and excitement is in the air!  Here are a couple of the highlights:

BAGS OF CELEBRATION

The people of Celebration Church always step up when there is a call!  Bags of Celebration is our annual School Supply drive and this year the heart of our People showed up! 

Bags of Celebration Blessed:

- Over 300 Austin Area children

- 30 children displaced by Leander Fire

- 30+ Foster Children and many of our own Celebration KiDs were blessed with you Generosity.

ANGEL FOOD DISTRIBUTION

July 30th – As always the end of the month means ANGEL FOOD DISTRIBUTION!  Pastor Charles has such an incredible heart for this ministry and many members of our SERVE Team helped out this week as always.  Among the strong and early risers you will usually find our very own Robert Hall (Campus Support Director).  ANGEL FOOD is an affordable way to feed your families at a very discount rate.  check out the website for more information

LEANDER FIRE RESPONSE

Through your Generosity and quick response to the Call once again, Celebration Church made a huge difference in the lives of many fire survivors.  Here are the ways that you helped:

- 80  Backpack to the Basics Delivered the day after the fire - Many bags were donated during the strike of the Joplin MO tornadoes and after the need was met in Joplin, we still had over 700 bags stored and ready to deploy.  These Backpacks came in handy for the fire victims.

- 30 Bags of Celebration (School Supplies)

- Truck load of Clothing (donated in 1 day!)

- Celebration Church has Adopted Two families – After a Wednesday night special offering, your donations are allowing us to walk through the long process of rebuilding and restocking two new homes.  Big thanks to Pastor Ernesto!  You will be hearing more about these families in the future!

SIERRA RIDGE 2 Day BASKETBALL CLINIC & BLOCK PARTY

WOW!  This is what it is all about!  OUTREACH at Celebration Church took a step to a Whole Nutha LEVEL this last weekend!  What a blessing it was to spend two days with the children of Sierra Ridge (a Foundation Communities Apt).   By the end of day two we had built relationships with children and staff, eaten over 200 Hot Dogs,  120 Snow Cones, over 1000 cups of Gatorade, and handed out over 105 Bags of Celebration!  The sweetest part of the day was praying over all the children and giving them a Back to School Blessing.  God is up to something at this location….. Possibly our next Adopt-A-Block.

Along with Blog updates and email group lists that help you keep up with Outreach opportunities, We are now planning to use Serve Cards that will be available at the Welcome Center of all Celebration Church locations!  Serve Cards will come out at the beginning of each month and will list the months Outreach opportunities.  Get plugged in!  All are Welcome and qualified!

Today was incredible!

Our Team had incredible success this morning at our First Ever Basketball Clinic!  We had around 30 kids and it was a Blast!  Tomorrow will be an extension of our Efforts today…

2)  11am – 1pm – Block Party (Meet at the Church at 9:00am- YOUTH LEADERS Mike and Sarah Haviland WILL BE LEADING THIS GROUP DOWN TO SIERRA RIDGE)
with parents and friends!  We are expecting LOTS of people to come out!  There will be Inflatables, Snow Cones, Hot Dogs, Organized Games, and Bags of Celebration for all Children!!  We will pray over them and send them off to school the right way!

Our Team also Handed out 115 Bags of Celebration today at our Monthly Adopt A Block.. Fairway Village.  It was a busy Day!

Celebration Church along with other local Churches have stepped up in a time of crisis.  So far, we have been able to give:

80 BackPack to Basics (essential needs), 30 Bags of Celebration (School Supplies), and we are sponsoring 2 families with housing for the next month.

We have all heard reports of the Fire in Leander that destroyed many homes.  Now What??

Today was a day of planning and offering as much help as we could for displaced fire victims in Leander.  After a tremendous fire blazed through and destroyed 15 homes, Celebration members begin to focus on helping displaced residents.

Our Initial Response:

Mike Wheeler of Celebration stepped up and delivered 70+ Backpacks full of essential needs along with 30 Bags of Celebration (school supplies) for the children that lost everything.

With the report from KXAN News this evening, we are on the right track to make a big difference.  ”Cash, Clothing and School Supplies are the main needs”.

Celebration Church was represented at a local town meeting with fire victims, Red Cross, ADRN and other local Churches in Leander this evening.  At this time we are asking you to bring new or gently used clothing items and donations to the Church tomorrow.  The needs are very real and immediate.  We will have Serve Team members waiting for your donations all day.  If you would like to volunteer to receive donations at the Church tomorrow, please email Serve@celebrationchurchtx.com

Here is a list of items requested:

- Monetary donations (Gift Cards & Cash donations)

- Womens clothing sizes 8-14

- Mens clothing – Pants 30-34″ (34/34 was a common size expressed)

- Shoes of all sizes

- Underwear (women and men mixed sizes)

- Socks

All items can be dropped off at Celebration Church Wednesday 17th  (9am-7pm)

-  We will have Air jumpers, Hot dogs, cold drinks, Music, Organized Games, and Lots of Fun!!
