This Weekend – GEORGETOWN Christmas Parade & Stroll!

CHRISTMAS PARADE TEAM

The City of Georgetown is reaching out to Celebration Church seeking volunteers to SERVE during their Annual Christmas PARADE!!  This is really exciting and we can line the Streets with Red Serve T-Shirts!  This was a last minute request from the city and I told them that I would get as many volunteers as possible to help.  Please let me know if you can be available between 10am & 12pm this SATURDAY 3rd in Georgetown to help out the City.  We will be assisting the Police Department down the streets at the Parade.  Please email Serve@CelebrationChurchtx.com if you can be there and I will send out the Details.

CELEBRATION BOOTH AT THE STROLL

Because of the flat out FAVOR of GOD… We have received a PRIME location for the Georgetown Stroll this Saturday!!!  Our location will be directly in front of SANTA’S VILLAGE on Austin Avenue between 7th & 8th Street!!  THIS IS A HUGE BLESSING and we will be setting up a booth immediately following the Parade.  Our booth will be giving children Red Balloons with Candy Canes.  We will also have a station for the children to write out their wish list for SANTA.  What an incredible opportunity to meet Georgetown families and show them the love of Celebration Church!!  Our shifts will be as follows:

12:00pm – 2pm (team will set up and get the event going) Led by Tammey Stokley – 12 Volunteers

2pm – 4pm (Need 10 Volunteers)

4pm – 6pm (Need 10 Volunteers)

6pm – 8pm (this group will break down the booth) – 10 Volunteers

Blue Santa is an annual tradition for our City of Round Rock, Georgetown  and Austin Police Departments.  Partnering with local businesses, schools and individuals Blue Santa programs in our Central Texas area we able to provide over 7000 families with a wonderful Christmas in 2010.  Qualified families in all three cities are provided a Christmas meal and children under the age of 14 years receive presents.  After talking with organizers of these events, I have realized that we can make a huge difference in many lives by partnering with Blue Santa this Christmas.  Here is how you can get involved:

1. BRING NEW TOYS! (unwrapped) to your LOCAL Blue Santa Drop off  ***Very Important to Bring NEW TOYS ONLY*** ages 1-14

2. SIGN UP TO WRAP GIFTS – Each campus will plug into the local Blue Santa Guidlines and host a wrapping day at the cities location.  CLICK HERE to sign up and receive more information about Celebration Church wrapping days.  Please add the campus you attend in the email.

3. SIGN UP TO DELIVER -  If you would like to deliver Blue Santa Gifts, please  register with Blue Santa in your local area and let them know that you are with Celebration Church.  Links Below:

If you are planning to SERVE tomorrow morning (Thanksgiving Morning) with us you have two options:

1. Meet us at the Church at 6:30am and Ride in Vans Downtown to the Long Center (701 West Riverside Drive, Austin, TX) —> We will leave at exactly 6:30am No later!!

**We will return around 1:00pm after all activities are complete**

2. Meet us at the Long Center (701 West Riverside Drive, Austin, TX) at 7:00am

*Go ahead and check in as a volunteer at the Volunteer Tent (it is just below the Long Center toward the lake)

CELEBRATION SERVES …… TURKEYS!!

Thank you to everyone!  REALLY… 98% of everyone that signed up showed up yesterday with Bags and ready to deliver!  With very minimal hiccups… IT WAS A HUGE OUTREACH with over 625 Turkey Dinners going out!!

A couple of things:

1. If you still have a Bag, Please bring it to the Church by 10am this morning

**We are delivering to 9 Head Start Schools in the Local area**

2. We need people to help load trucks and go to Schools today at 12:00pm

**We have been invited by Teachers and Principals at Head Start Schools to assist with the distribution of 180 Bags of Celebration at their schools!!  This is a great opportunity to share the love of Jesus!!  COME OUT TODAY AND MEET US AT 12:00pm if you can!

3. If you could not reach your assigned family or have questions about yesterdays delivery, please email serve@celebrationchurchtx.com (we will do our best to answer every email today)

Sign up today to be a part of the Thunderclouds TURKEY TROT!  This is an annual event that benefits CARITAS of Austin.  Our teams lead hundreds of Volunteers from the Austin area manning the Water Stops & assisting at the Finish Line.  We SERVE over 18000 Runners and the opportunity to meet our neighbors in the Austin Area is incredible!  Last year we had 58 Celebration Volunteers sign up in one week.  Sign up today!  Yes it is Thanksgiving Morning and you will be finished in time to EAT!

**All Celebration Families needed to make it happen**

Yes we started with the goal of 500 and we have exceed the number!  The Turkeys are coming and we need your help to provide the items listed.  If you signed up at the booth to bring a BAG OF CELEBRATION and deliver, be sure to bring it Tomorrow!  If you did not sign up, you can still bring a bag of Celebration.  Just use this list.  We will need as many as possible tomorrow!

After your Service:

1. Meet our SERVE Teams out in the Front.

2. You will receive your frozen Turkey and Receiving Families information

3. Head out and Bless!  Deliver the Turkeys!

Saturday Nov. 5th was a true Blessing as 249 Single Moms and Military Wives pulled in to Celebration Westinghouse campus!  Oil change after oil change and massage after massage left many women and children seeing God’s love in a whole new light!  Huge thanks to over 200 volunteers that came out to make this event such a success!  Relationships were built and our next event will be even bigger!  All Glory to God!

This is a Huge week for Celebration Church!  We will be hosting the 3rd Annual Single Moms and Military Wives Oil Change!  Spread the word!  If you would like to SERVE on this day…
