Thursday February 2nd is the 4th Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast!

Please join us in support of our Round Rock Mayor Alan McGraw.

A free breakfast will be provided and you will have the opportunity to pray with other Celebration Members and representatives from all over our community. Please remember this is a community event but there is not a need to wear your serve shirt.  You can drop by as you are in normal attire.

SERVE the City of Round Rock and the new Special Needs Park “PLAY FOR ALL ABILITIES” this Saturday! This one of a kind facility is unique to Central Texas and will bring excitement and joy to thousands!  Last weekend, our Team of Celebration Church MEN made a huge impact!  Framing up two of the main buildings in the “Brushy Creek Village” portion of the park.  This weekend we have the opportunity to help finish up all of the details for the park.  Painting, spreading mulch, and cleaning up to get it ready for the Grand Opening in February is our task!  You will be rubbing elbows with other community leaders and citizens so please wear your RED SERVE T-SHIRT!  (Available in the Book Store)

Meet us at RABB PARK.  Located East of AW Grimes on Hwy79.  This used to be a wedding facility. Turning from Hwy79, it will be just after the WalGreens.  Follow the winding road back to the park.  (Map below). You can bring some work gloves but the City Directors have confirmed that we do not need to bring any tools this day.  Everything will be provided and we will have clear direction.

With hundreds of children participating and even more families members attending Upward Basketball at Celebration Church, our goal is to provide a fun& welcoming experience that will leave all of our guests excited to return!

Saturdays in January and February are reserved for one of our largest outreaches of the year!  Our 4th Annual Season of Upward Basketball tipped off at Celebration last weekend and I cannot imagine a better way to start off a New Year!  The excitement and anticipation took to the court and our SERVE TEAM volunteers stepped up to welcome the masses of people!

With 4 game times and simple time slots, we would like to invite you to put on your RED SERVE shirt and join us!

SPECIAL NEEDS PARK in Round Rock is REQUESTING OUR HELP

DAY 1

Jan 21st:  Meet at Celebration at 7:30am (early shift) or at the park after 8:00am

Join our Team of Celebration Church Carpenters for a day of construction!  OUR TASK: Build 2- 8′x18′ buildings for this incredible City of Round Rock project!  In the middle of the park is “BRUSHY CREEK VILLAGE” (See map below).  It is our goal to complete the final two building of this construction phase.  CLICK HERE to sign up and help our Celebration Construction Team!

Play For All Abilities Park

The mission of the park is to provide a safe, fun place to play and develop new skills for children of all abilities in Round Rock and surrounding areas. The Play for All Abilities Park will serve the more than 100,000 children of Williamson County with an estimated 7,945 children with a disability.

This large gated park will include a variety of play opportunities designed to stimulate and encourage the development of several skill sets such as gross and fine motor skills, social interaction, sense of discovery, creativity and strengthening exercises.

The park will be located at the existing Rabb Park, off of HWY 79 and A.W. Grimes Blvd.  The site is heavily shaded and tucked away from busy streets. The Brushy Creek Regional Trail will be accessible from the park (2012 – 2013 construction). The trail will connect Redbud Lane/CR122 to A.W. Grimes Blvd. and connects into the Greater Lake Creek Trail System.

DAY 1  of 7 days “MOVE OUT”

Austin Firefighters- Your assistance is requested for General Volunteers to help “MOVE OUT” and assist with random items that must be accomplished quickly and orderly to begin this incredible project!  EXTREME HOME TEAM is requesting a Team of 40 that can work together to accomplish the goal.  If you are interested in volunteering your time to help with this project in Bastrop County contact FF Derick Zwerneman CLICK HERE

DAY 4 “BUILD DAY”

Celebration Church along with Foundation Ministries in Bastrop will be providing General Help Needed for EXTREME Team.  This will be a great time to show our support for this project in Bastrop County!  A team of 40 Volunteers is needed at this time to work in a “General Volunteer” Role.  Expect anything!  CLICK HERE to Sign Up.

Details:

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and must read the guidelines prior to arriving on site.

Once you have signed up, please check your e-mail often. You will receive your schedule via email. On the day that the family is announced, please check this Web site for driving and parking instructions. If we need to contact you with special instructions, we will do so via e-mail.

We encourage volunteers to arrive, at minimum, one-hour prior to the start of a scheduled shift to complete release/agreement forms. Please bring a valid driver’s license for proof of age. FULLY CLOSED SHOES/BOOTS are REQUIRED on set. There are NO exceptions.

Thank you for volunteering to change a family’s life. This enormous project can only happen because of volunteers like you!

This Weekend – GEORGETOWN Christmas Parade & Stroll!

CHRISTMAS PARADE TEAM

The City of Georgetown is reaching out to Celebration Church seeking volunteers to SERVE during their Annual Christmas PARADE!!  This is really exciting and we can line the Streets with Red Serve T-Shirts!  This was a last minute request from the city and I told them that I would get as many volunteers as possible to help.  Please let me know if you can be available between 10am & 12pm this SATURDAY 3rd in Georgetown to help out the City.  We will be assisting the Police Department down the streets at the Parade.  Please email Serve@CelebrationChurchtx.com if you can be there and I will send out the Details.

CELEBRATION BOOTH AT THE STROLL

Because of the flat out FAVOR of GOD… We have received a PRIME location for the Georgetown Stroll this Saturday!!!  Our location will be directly in front of SANTA’S VILLAGE on Austin Avenue between 7th & 8th Street!!  THIS IS A HUGE BLESSING and we will be setting up a booth immediately following the Parade.  Our booth will be giving children Red Balloons with Candy Canes.  We will also have a station for the children to write out their wish list for SANTA.  What an incredible opportunity to meet Georgetown families and show them the love of Celebration Church!!  Our shifts will be as follows:

12:00pm – 2pm (team will set up and get the event going) Led by Tammey Stokley – 12 Volunteers

2pm – 4pm (Need 10 Volunteers)

4pm – 6pm (Need 10 Volunteers)

6pm – 8pm (this group will break down the booth) – 10 Volunteers

Blue Santa is an annual tradition for our City of Round Rock, Georgetown  and Austin Police Departments.  Partnering with local businesses, schools and individuals Blue Santa programs in our Central Texas area we able to provide over 7000 families with a wonderful Christmas in 2010.  Qualified families in all three cities are provided a Christmas meal and children under the age of 14 years receive presents.  After talking with organizers of these events, I have realized that we can make a huge difference in many lives by partnering with Blue Santa this Christmas.  Here is how you can get involved:

1. BRING NEW TOYS! (unwrapped) to your LOCAL Blue Santa Drop off  ***Very Important to Bring NEW TOYS ONLY*** ages 1-14

2. SIGN UP TO WRAP GIFTS – Each campus will plug into the local Blue Santa Guidlines and host a wrapping day at the cities location.  CLICK HERE to sign up and receive more information about Celebration Church wrapping days.  Please add the campus you attend in the email.

Thank you to everyone!  REALLY… 98% of everyone that signed up showed up yesterday with Bags and ready to deliver!  With very minimal hiccups… IT WAS A HUGE OUTREACH with over 625 Turkey Dinners going out!!

A couple of things:

1. If you still have a Bag, Please bring it to the Church by 10am this morning

**We are delivering to 9 Head Start Schools in the Local area**

2. We need people to help load trucks and go to Schools today at 12:00pm

**We have been invited by Teachers and Principals at Head Start Schools to assist with the distribution of 180 Bags of Celebration at their schools!!  This is a great opportunity to share the love of Jesus!!  COME OUT TODAY AND MEET US AT 12:00pm if you can!
